Mag. Dr. Patrick Warto is Assistant Professor at the department of Austrian and International Commercial Law at the University of Salzburg. He is currently teaching commercial law, company law, competition law, intellectual property law and securities law. Patrick Warto has published several books and articles in both law and communication science. His main field of research is company law. As a legal counselor Patrick Warto was involved in some prominent decisions of the Austrian Constitutional Court and the European Court of Human Rights. At the university he is member of the supervising board for the curriculum "didactics for university lecturers" as well as coordinator for the external relations of the department.

Besides German, English and the Romanesque languages French and Italian, Patrick Warto has knowledge about the Persian language in word and writing.
Among many others, Patrick Warto has published books/articles on the following topics: "General partnership: member liability and third party liability" (2007); "Illegal employment and warranty" (2008); "The imputation of knowledge to business enterprises" (2011), "Applicability of the law on the liability of employees (DHG) for managers of a LLC" (2012), "The modus which applies to the transfer of LLC shares" (2012). He is also the author of the mergers section of the forthcoming major comment on the GmbH.
