Area of Practice: Capital Lawyering
Ms. Sarah Lang maintains a nationwide practice focused on advising candidates, political
parties, political action committees (PACs), corporations, major campaign donors,
and state and local ballot measure committees in the areas of political and election
law. Ms. Lang also counsels lobbyists, lobbyist employers, lobbying firms, and public
officials regarding compliance with disclosure and gift laws.
Ms. Lang previously served as a Political Reform Consultant with the California Fair Political Practices Commission, specializing in conflict of interest regulations, statements of economic interests, and campaign reporting requirements. Her duties included providing statewide compliance training to candidates, local elections officials, lobbyists, governmental agencies, and foreign delegations. She also directed all social media outreach for the FPPC.
Ms. Lang earned her Juris Doctor degree with distinction from the McGeorge School of Law, University of the Pacific, completing concentrations in both business law and tax law. She was selected by McGeorge's Faculty Committee on Honors and Awards for the "Outstanding Student Service Award" for her involvement in various organizations including serving as the Vice President of the Black Law Students Association; the Vice President of the Government Affairs Student Association; the Secretary of the Estate and Gift Tax Planning Society; the treasurer of Phi Delta Phi; and as a member of the McGeorge Capitol Center Advisory Board. Ms. Lang is a member of the Traynor Honor Society, and graduated Summa cum Laude from William Jessup University with a Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy, completing a concentration in economics and management.
