Dr. Hong Tang holds an SJD from the Golden Gate University School of Law in San Francisco, California, an LLM from the McGeorge School of Law, University of the Pacific in Sacramento, Calif., an LLB from the Shanghai Institute of Foreign Trade in Shanghai, China, a certificate from The Hague Academy of International Law in The Hague, Netherlands, and an AACSB-accredited MBA from jointly the University of Baltimore and the Towson University in Maryland.
Dr. Tang has been admitted to practice law in the state of New York and various United States federal courts, including United States Supreme Court. Dr. Tang's professional and scholarly articles have been published by the American Society of International Law (ASIL), the American Bar Association (ABA), and the New York State Bar Association (NYSBA).
Dr. Tang is the Nominee and Finalist (worldwide total eleven) for The Hague Academy of International Law's 2011 High-Level Diploma Award (Public International Law). Dr. Tang started his professional life as a team leader for the United Nations Secretariat (U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon)’s first official intern team." Dr. Tang is the Immediate Past (2011-2015) ABA Young Lawyers Division Representative to the Section of International Law, a voting Council member (2011-2015) at the ABA Section of International Law. Dr. Hong Tang has been an official representative of the New York City Bar to the United Nations (ECOSOC Consultative Status) since 2010. Dr. Hong Tang is a member of The Fellows of the American Bar Foundation, and a member of the ABA Legal Opportunity Scholarship Committee (presidential appointment).
