Andrea Hoch, '84, has an impressive record in the public sector. She was named to the California Court of Appeal, Third Appellate District by then- Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and took office on January 3, 2011. She was retained by the voters in the November 2014 general election. Justice Hoch served as the Schwarzenegger's legal affairs secretary since 2005, and was previously the administrative director for the Division of Workers' Compensation. She began her legal career as an attorney with Swerdlow & Florence then practiced with Swanson & Dowdall before beginning public service as board counsel for the Agricultural Labor Relations Board. Hoch worked for the Office of the Attorney General from 1992 to 2004, and as a legal advisor for the Public Employment Relations Board from 1988 to 1992.
