Riley ‘Cody’ T. Denoon is a Barrister and Solicitor from British Columbia and Alberta, Canada and has worked in regulatory, environmental and criminal prosecutions in those Provinces. He has also practiced as an international lawyer and consultant. Riley has worked with National Governments, Provincial Governments within Canada, international NGOs and IGOs, such as UNESCO-IHP (Division of Water Sciences), as well as with local environmental organizations, local stakeholders and private clients. His current areas of work, publication and research center on the law of transboundary watercourses, public international law, international dispute resolution, local stakeholder engagement and safeguard policies of multilateral investment banks. Currently he is a Doctoral Candidate in International Water Resources Law at McGeorge School of Law, University of the Pacific, studying under Professor Stephen McCaffrey.
Riley is fluent in both English and French. He has conducted training and taught in the areas of international law, water resource law, international dispute resolution, stakeholder engagement as well as advanced legal research and writing skills.
