View photos. The "traditional" path to the federal judiciary typically includes some experience as a prosecutor. Although defenders are still very much in the minority among federal judges, efforts to diversify the professional demographics of the federal judiciary have led to the appointment of an increased numbers of lawyers with defender experience. Join Judge Felipe Restrepo as he discusses his own nontraditional path from defender to the Third Circuit. During his presentation he will describe the twists and turns of his professional life, sharing personal anecdotes and lessons learned along the way. After his talk he will welcome questions from the audience.
