David Vladeck, Co-Director, Institute for Public Representation, Professor of Law Georgetown University Law Center, presented "Completely Clueless or Completely Venal? Regulators, Wrongdoing and Corporate Responses to the Federal Trade Commission."

Professor Vladeck spent over 25 years with Public Citizen Litigation Group, handling and supervising complex litigation.
He has argued a number of cases before the United States Supreme Court and more than 60 cases before the federal courts of appeal and state courts of last resort. He testifies frequently before Congress and writes on administrative law, preemption, first amendment, and access to justice issues. Professor Vladeck has also served as the Director of the Federal Trade Commission’s Bureau of Consumer Protection and received the agency’s Distinguished Service Award in December 2012. Vladeck has recently been named by Newsweek-The Daily Beast as one of the most important “Navigators” of the Digital Economy and ranked highly in publication’s “Top 100 Digital Power Index.”
