We are pleased to announce that Professor Harold Koh will be McGeorge’s 2020 Commencement speaker.
Professor Koh is among the most prominent legal advocates for human rights and the rule of law in the United States. His accomplishments both as a scholar and lawyer are too numerous to summarize here. But he has led a career that has frequently taken him out of academic life and into public service. He served as US Assistant Secretary of State for Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor under President Clinton and as the State Department Legal Advisor under President Obama.
From 2004 to 2009, he served as the Dean of Yale Law School. As a law professor, he continuously works on impact litigation on behalf of human rights and the rule of law around globe. You can learn more about him here.
