McGeorge's Diversity Week 2016, an Admissions/Diversity Initiatives Annual Program, kicks off Feb. 1 with a fashion show at the Student Center, sponsored by the Middle Eastern & South Asian Association (MESAA). The theme for this year's Diversity Week is "Excellence through Inclusion," and the events are sponsored by Asian/Pacific American Law Student Association (APALSA), Black Law Student Association (BLSA), Latino/a Law Students Association (LLSA), Students for Reproductive Justice (LSRJ), MESAA, the Diversity Affairs Committee, Faculty Research and Admissions/Diversity Initiatives.

Here are the Diversity Week 2016 Events

Monday, Feb. 1, 2016 — 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. | McGeorge House
The Diversity Week Kick-Off Fashion Show sponsored by MESAA to Traditional Clothing from Around the World. Come to learn more about other cultures and traditions.

Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2016 — Noon to 1 p.m. | Classroom D
Voter Registration Drive sponsored by LLSA to Join LLSA and Sacramento County as they team up to provide Voter Registration on-campus!

Tuesday Feb. 2, 2016 — 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. | Classroom D
Reproductive Justice 101 hosted by the McGeorge LSRJ to Join us for a thought-provoking discussion of what Reproductive Justice is and why it matters.

Wednesday Feb. 3, 2016 — 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. | Student Center
Food Fair to Benefit the Diversity Scholarship to Sponsored by McGeorge Chartered Student Organizations and Admissions & Diversity Initiatives. $7 per plate will give you the opportunity to sample EVERYTHING!

Wednesday Feb. 3, 2016 — 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. | McGeorge House
Reception with Devon W. Carbado sponsored by BLSA to Meet Harvard Law graduate, Author, Board Member of the African American Policy Forum, and award-winning UCLA Professor of Law Devon W. Carbado.

Thursday, Feb. 4, 2016 — Noon to 1:30 p.m. | Classroom G
Black Lives Matter sponsored by BLSA to UCLA Professor of Law, Devon W. Carbado will join us to discuss the current issues that gave rise to these injustices, as well as solutions moving forward to a better future.

Thursday, Feb. 4, 2016 — 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. | Jensai Sushi
APALSA's Cultural Diversity Mixer to As part of Diversity Week come join APALSA on Thursday, Feb. 4, at 5:30 p.m. at Jensai in Midtown for appetizers! Members get in free and only $5 for nonmembers! There will be SUSHI, GYOZA, and MORE!

Friday, Feb. 5, 2016 — 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. (DOORS OPEN AT 5 p.m.) | Grand Salon
An Evening with the Brubeck Institute Jazz Faculty sponsored by the McGeorge Alumni Board and the Diversity Affairs Committee to Join us to celebrate the Diversity Scholarship, a scholarship dedicated to students with financial needs and a proven record of service to underrepresented members of the community. The evening's special keynote speaker is McGeorge Alum, Brian Tippens,'00, Chief Diversity Officer for Hewlett-Packard Enterprises.
