James Wirrell, Assistant Dean for Library Services at University

James Wirrell has been promoted to the position of Assistant Dean for Library Services at McGeorge School of Law, University of the Pacific.

Wirrell has held positions of increasing responsibility since he joined McGeorge in 2003. His previous duties included Interim Director of the Law Library (2013-2014), Head of Access Services/Senior Reference Librarian (2010-2013), Instructional Services Librarian (2008-10), and Circulation/Reference Librarian (2003-08). Wirrell previously served as Circulation/Reference Librarian at the University of Richmond School of Law, and Reference Librarian at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Wirrell received his BA at Simon Fraser University near Vancouver; his MTS at Regent College at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver; his LLB from the University of British Columbia; and his JD and MSLIS. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
