At the cross-section of leadership, skills, and civic involvement, McGeorge Global Lawyering Skills Director Mary-Beth Moylan exemplifies tireless dedication to the advancement of legal education. In August 2014, Professor Moylan became the President of the Association of Legal Writing Directors (ALWD), and in August 2015 she became Immediate Past President. Please join us in congratulating her.

Global Lawyering Skills was published by West on May 29, 2013. The textbook is intended for use in legal research and writing classes, although it includes chapters outside the traditional legal research and writing curriculum including chapters on client interviewing, client counseling, international and transnational research, alternative dispute resolution, and includes cross-cultural considerations in most of the chapters.

ALWD is a non-profit professional association of directors of legal reasoning, research, writing, analysis, and advocacy programs from law schools throughout the United States, Canada and Australia. ALWD has more than 200 members representing more than 150 law schools. McGeorge hosted the organization's 2011 conference.
