Fifty-nine McGeorge graduates passed the State of California's February 2013 examination. More than a dozen attended the swearing-in ceremony, one of several across the state on June 5, 2013, at the Sheraton Grand Sacramento.

Three justices of California Court of Appeal, Third Appellate District, met with the new alumni attorneys at a reception following the event. Sacramento County Bar Association President Bruce Timm, '99, also congratulated the group.

"In nine of the past 10 years, we have equaled or exceeded the average of all ABA-accredited schools on the February bar exam," said Tim Naccarato, the Assistant Dean for Academic Programs.

Because McGeorge has an Evening Division that allows part-time students to graduate in 3 ½ years, the February exam is an important barometer for the law school. Twenty-six December 2012 graduates passed the bar. Several recent grads opted to take the July 2013 bar exam, and several took and passed the bar in different states, including Nevada.
