Fifteen Alumni Admitted to Supreme Court Bar

Fifteen McGeorge graduates were admitted to the U.S. Supreme Court Bar at a swearing-in ceremony sponsored by the McGeorge Alumni Association on June 4, 2012, in Washington, D.C.

Dionne Choyce, '01, Maria Daquipa, '96, Steve Gizzi, '02, Molly Greene, '96, Dave Hornbeck, '79, Carolee Johnstone, '01, Miranda LeKander, '00, Craig Lindberg, '90, Joyce Paul, '88, Lisa Peskin, '87, Shakira Pleasant, '04, Hong Tang, '05, Anthony Van Ruiten, '08, William Westerman, '80 Diploma-holder, and Christopher Yost, '90, are the newest members of the high court bar.

The new admittees met later with Justice Anthony M. Kennedy, Professor John Sims and previous inductee John DeRonde, '72, for a private reception. Kate Baragona, '90, a senior infrastructure finance specialist at The World Bank, hosted an evening cocktail party at her agency that was attended by the out-of-town visitors, Washington D.C. alumni chapter members, and McGeorge students serving as interns this summer in the nation's capital.
