McGeorge faculty articles are now available on the Social Science Research Network (SSRN), an e-library that posts abstracts and drafts of scholarly working papers.
The e-library provides an opportunity for researchers, students, alumni, industry professionals and other interested parties to stay up to date with research generated by McGeorge faculty before it is published. Subscribers to the service receive e-mail announcements when articles by McGeorge faculty are posted to SSRN. Articles can then be downloaded.
The first volume of the McGeorge School of Law, University of the Pacific Research Paper Series with the Social Science Research Network (SSRN) was issued on June 25, 2010.
“This is a proud moment for us and will provide another method for us to advertise our scholarship,” said Professor Ruth Jones, Associate Dean for Scholarship and SSRN Series Contact. “The initial SSRN mailing was the first of many that we expect over the next year. The future SSRN announcements will include abstracts of articles by McGeorge faculty that were posted on SSRN before our McGeorge page was created and abstracts of new articles that we post.”
“I want to thank Monica Sharum, emerging technologies librarian, for her tireless work on this project,” she added.
