McGeorge students Leah Daughetee and Robert Maddock advanced to the national finals of the ABA Student Division Negotiation Competition with an impressive performance at a regional tournament, held November 11, 12 in San Diego.
Daughetee and Maddock had the highest score of any entry in the 24-team field, easily advancing to the final round along with the University of Denver, UC Hastings and UC Davis. They were selected, along with the Denver team, to move forward to the national finals that are scheduled February 10, 11, 2007 in Miami. Twenty teams are expected to compete in that event, which was won last year by the Harvard Law School. Professor Jed Scully coached the team and accompanied it to the regional competition, which was hosted by Thomas Jefferson School of Law. Twenty different ABA law schools from eight Western states were represented in San Diego.
