Cori Badgley won the International Advocacy’s Closing Night Competition on April 4, beating out three of her second-year Day classmates.
Ivan Griswold, Natalie Jaquish and Jennifer Phillips also impressed the judges with their oral arguments in the courtroom finale to the yearlong program. Christopher Delfino, a partner at Downey Brand in Sacramento; Kenneth Swenson, Deputy Attorney General in the Office of the California Attorney General; and Professor Kojo Yelpaala comprised the “International Court of Justice” panel. The final foursome argued a case that mimicked the current dispute over nuclear proliferation between Iran and the United Nations.
