Summer Program in St. Petersburg, Russia
June 30 - July 26, 2008
Pacific McGeorge will be an official sponsoring school for the 2008 summer program in St. Petersburg, Russia, to be held under the auspices of the University of Arkansas School of Law. This program is ABA approved and has run every summer continuously since 1995. Pacific McGeorge students do not need any special approval in order to enroll in this program.
Students will have the option to earn up to five units of semester credit during the month-long program. Classes will be scheduled in the mornings four days a week, and there will be included weekend and afternoon excursions to legal and cultural institutions around St. Petersburg and nearby locations. Russian law students will also participate in the program and will add their own cultural and social perspectives to the classroom.
Professor Linda Carter from Pacific McGeorge will teach a course in International Criminal Law during the program. Other courses and professors will be announced soon.
Tuition for the program will include housing, social and cultural activities in St. Petersburg. Tutiion for 5 semester units will be $4,500. The costs of transportation to and from Russia, Russian visas, and meals are not included.
