Concentration Requirements and Curriculum
Pacific McGeorge's Intellectual Property (IP) Concentration offers in-depth exploration into all aspects of intellectual property law. Whether you are interested in becoming a patent lawyer, a music lawyer, or a sports agent, we help you choose a mix of courses that best suits your career ambitions.
IP Concentration Requirements:
- Completion of at least three of the following core courses:
- Patent Law (2 units)
- Intellectual Property and Unfair Competition (3 units)
- Copyright Law (3 units)
- Trademark Law (2 units)
- Completion of at least two units in the following courses
(or all four core courses):
- Entertainment Law (2 units, prerequisites apply)
- Sports Law (2 units)
- International Intellectual Property (2 units)
- Computer & Internet Law (2 units)
- Advanced Intellectual Property Law: Senior Seminar (2 units, prerequisites apply)
- Business Aspects of Intellectual Property Law (2 units, prerequisites apply)
- Completion of at least three units in the following courses:
- Administrative Law (3 units)
- Antitrust Law (3 units)
- Conflict of Laws (3 units)
- Federal Courts (2 or 3 units)
- International Business Transactions (3 units)
- Mass Media Law (2 units)
- First Amendment (3 units)
- Labor Law (3 units)
- Employment Law (2 units
