One of the many advantages to studying law at Pacific McGeorge is the affordability of housing in Sacramento, as compared to Los Angeles or San Francisco. There are hundreds of new apartment complexes in the growing Sacramento metropolitan area, each with ready access to an excellent freeway system that leaves most students just minutes from the law school.

The Housing Office, run by director Nancy Whalen (nwhalen@pacific.edu) and located in Room 122 in the Administration Building, will advise you about desirable areas in the local community where rooms, apartments and houses can be found. She will also help you find law school roommates should that be your choice.

Blackacre apartmentsPacific McGeorge also has four modern on-campus apartment buildings, each strictly devoted to students, and an older multi-unit building, all located on the campus grounds. Together, there’s room for 170 students with a variety of studio, one and two bedroom units that range from unfurnished flats to fully furnished townhouse apartments. It’s a first-come, first-served basis so if you think you want to live on campus, inquire early and take care of all your paperwork and deposits.

And one more Pacific McGeorge advantage, there’s plenty of free parking for on-campus residents and commuters alike. That might not seem like a big deal to some of you from the Midwest or back East, but college students from LA and SF know that’s worth mentioning. And between large parking lots and non-metered, on-street parking, you won’t find yourself driving around in circles and muttering to yourself at 8:55 a.m. as you arrive on campus for your 9 a.m. class.
