Professor Stern was in private practice in Anchorage, Alaska, before serving as counsel for the Alaska Criminal Code Revision Commission. He also was an Assistant Attorney General in Alaska and a consultant to that state’s Department of Law. Professor Stern was a professor of law at the Western New England College of Law from 1982 to 2000. He has served as Special Counsel for the Vermont House and Senate Judiciary Committees, where he drafted state criminal code revisions.
