Professor Rohwer recently retired after a record 44 years of service at Pacific McGeorge. He began his legal career in the U.S. Air Force with the Judge Advocate General’s Corps. Professor Rohwer was a state Deputy Attorney General for a year before joining the Sacramento firm of Downey, Brand in 1961. He left private practice in 1967 to become a full-time member of the McGeorge faculty when the school began its Day Division. He and Professor Anthony Skrocki co-authored the Contracts in a Nutshell, a popular source book for law students now in its sixth edition. Professor Rohwer was the Associate Dean for Graduate and International Programs during the development of the LL.M. programs. He has taught commercial law in cities throughout the world, including London, Shanghai, St. Petersberg and Vienna. Since 1996, he has served as a consultant to the government of Vietnam writing and revising the Commercial Law and the Civil Code.
