Assistant Dean Naccarato served as the first full-time Director of Academic Support from 2002 to 2005. In that role, he counseled students, conducted educational programs, and taught Criminal Law and Principles of Agency.  In his present position, he continues to teach Principle of Agency.  Before joining the faculty, he was a civil litigator for four years with Graham & James LLP and Livingston & Mattesich Law Corporation. From 1970-1998, Dean Naccarato served as an Army JAG Officer, including a tour in Vietnam, and retired in 1998 as a Colonel. Among his assignments, he taught Criminal Law and Trial Advocacy as the Chairman of the Criminal Law Department at the Army Judge Advocate General’s School in Charlottesville, Virginia. Following a one-year fellowship in the Civil Division of the U.S. Department of Justice, he was the Chief of the Army’s Litigation Division in Washington, D.C. Before his final assignment as the Commander of the Army Claims Service, he served as the SJA of the 25th Infantry Division (Light) in Hawaii and SJA of the III Armored Corps at Fort Hood, Texas. Assistant Dean Naccarato is the Chief Justice of the California Military Appeals Panel and president of the Retired Army Judge Advocates.

2000-2002 Senior Counsel with Livingston & Mattesich Law Corporation, Sacramento, CA., specializing in civil litigation and regulatory law. Summer Associate Program Coordinator.

1998-1999 Senior Counsel with Graham & James LLP, Sacramento, CA., specializing in construction law and civil litigation.

1997-1998 Commander, United States Army Claims Service, Fort Meade, MD. Processed tort claims asserted against the Army under the Federal Tort Claims Act. Supervised 25 attorneys, 65 staff, and 104 claims offices worldwide.

1995-1997 Staff Judge Advocate, Fort Hood, TX. General Counsel to a three-star general. Supervised criminal prosecutions and provided legal services to a community of 51,000 military and civilian employees. Supervised 28 attorneys and 145 staff.

1993-1995 Chief, Army Litigation Division, Washington, D.C. Defended Army and Department of Defense officials in federal and state courts nationwide in litigation involving torts, contracts, labor and employment discrimination, and constitutional issues. Supervised 27 attorneys.
