Professor Friedrich earned a Certificate in Advanced International Studies from Pacific McGeorge in 1982 after serving an internship with a Swiss law firm. She worked at law firm and was a sole practitioner before joining the clinical staff in 1985. Professor Friedrich specialized in landlord/tenant relations and elder law issues. She is a consultant to neighborhood groups dealing with public nuisances. She is a volunteer mediator for the Sacramento County family law courts.
