As Director of the Institute for Administrative Justice (IAJ), Dean Fait has supervised the training of more than 4,000 federal and state administrative hearing officers. He has acted as general counsel for the school of law and as an Associate Dean. He is a member and past president of the California Traffic Adjudication Board. Dean Fait was in private practice from 1972 to 1983. For 16 years, he served as the Director of the California Special Education Hearing Office. Recently, IAJ was rewarded a contract to provide attorneys to represent parolees in parole relocation hearings throughout the state. IAJ has opened 11 regional offices to handle more than 80,000 hearings each year. Dean Fait is also the former mayor of the City of Folsom. Last year, Dean Fait was appointed Director of the on-campus clinics.
