Public Legal Services Society 2008 Auction
February 29, 2008McGeorge students and alumni who work in the public sector can receive summer grants and loan repayment assistance with the support of the Public Legal Services Society. The annual auction raises funds to support these goals.
The money raised at the auction will provide McGeorge students modest stipends to work for non-profit or governmental organizations this summer and will help provide loan repayment assistance to recent graduates working at very low public interest salaries. Without such funding, students and graduates cannot afford to accept these positions. With funding, they can undertake a broad range of needed projects to benefit low-income clients, such as helping to protect the rights of children, the disabled, and the elderly, among others. Last year the auction raised over $40,000.
