Professor Gregory Mitchell will speak at 12 noon, Monday, February 25 at Pacific McGeorge. A recent addition to the University of Virginia law faculty, Mitchell has an impressive body of scholarship that focuses on legal judgment and decision-making, the psychology of justice, and the application of social science to legal theory and policy. Mitchell previously taught at Michigan State, Florida State, and was a visiting professor at Vanderbilt University. Prior to his career in academia, he clerked for Judge Wiseman of the U.S. District Court, Middle District of Tennessee. He also practiced with the Nashville firm of Doramus, Trauger, and Ney. Mitchell holds three degrees (J.D., Ph.D., M.A.) from the University of California, Berkeley. He earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Arkansas.
