Whether you’re considering becoming a criminal defense attorney or prosecutor, or dream of one day ruling from the bench, Pacific McGeorge's Center for Legal Advocacy and Dispute Resolution will equip you with the training and practical experience you need to succeed. It all begins in Pacific McGeorge’s “Courtroom of the Future” – the first experimental courtroom facility among American law schools – where you’ll not only learn but apply advocacy and dispute resolution techniques including:

  • pre-trial preparation and trial skills
  • appellate, legislative, administrative and international advocacy
  • alternative dispute resolution
  • technology in the courtroom

In addition to domestic advocacy and dispute resolution, the Center and its distinguished faculty have provided international training programs for countries including Chile, Italy, Cambodia, Rwanda, Uganda and Kosovo. With the global marketplace constantly expanding, an international focus is a critical component in the comprehensive training of today’s legal professionals.

In 2003, U.S. News & World Report ranked Pacific McGeorge 11th best in the nation in advocacy teaching and tied for first place among West Coast law schools.
