Professor Zhou received a Bachelor's Degree of Law with first class honours from the University of Ji Lin, China in 1987, and a Master's Degree of Law from the University of International Business and Economics, Beijing, China in 2001.  From 1987 to 2000, She served as a judge in the High Court of Guangdong Province from 1987 to 2000.  She undertook legal trials of civil, commercial and intellectual property in this period.  She joined the D&S law firm of Guangdong in 2001 where she worked as an expert of law, and became an associate professor at South China University in 2004.  Her research interests include intellectual property law theory, trademark, and contract law, and clinical legal education.  Professor Zhou is an active contributor to the legal field, with over 15 papers published.  She has co-authored books including Examples of Current Legal Trials of People's Republic of China and legal questions for courts of Guangdong Province.  She also won a key teacher of the Guangdong Branch of the China Judge College between 1988 and 1991.
