Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot Competition Team
The Competition
Students participating in the Vis Arbitral Moot, as it is
called, compete against teams from schools from all over the
world. They gain experience in resolving commercial disputes
by arbitration, using international law principles. Team members
write extensively on both sides of a practical controversy,
then meet other teams in Vienna, Austria, at the International
Arbitral Centre of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber for
oral arguments before teams of arbitrators. Over 100 teams
from over 30 countries compete.
.In the preliminary rounds, Pacific McGeorge team members will face teams from Russia, France, the Dominican Republic and Switzerland.
