National Asian Pacific American Bar Association Thomas Tang Moot Court Competition Team
The Competition
Two-member teams compete against other law schools' best in Regional and National Appellate Advocacy matches. The selection process is highly competitive, with both brief writing and oral advocacy skills playing a part.
Students write professional appellate briefs and compete regularly in oral argument matches. Competitors experience appellate advocacy , with regional and national competitions having judges and experienced attorneys presiding.
The 2003-2004 teams are made up of Darrin Lim, Jon-Paul Valcarenghi, Davis Tran and Roy Yang, coached by Pacific McGeorge alumnus Josh Kaizuka.
The team of Darrin Lim and Jon-Paul Valcarenghi advanced from the California Regionals to the National Competition in November, 2003.
