Jessup International Law Moot Court Team
The CompetitionFive-member teams compete against other law schools' best in Regional and National International Moot Court matches. Students are chosen based upon performance in second year Appellate and International Advocacy classe. The selection process is highly competitive, with both brief writing and oral advocacy skills playing a part.
Students gain in-depth knowledge of an area of international law as they write 40-page memorials and compete regularly in oral matches. The competition promotes teamwork and builds time management skills. During the competition they appear before judges and experience courtroom advocacy firsthand.
