March 1, 2005

Learn how to keep your credit clean in challenging economic times while you are a student and beyond graduation. Get a FREE copy of your Experian credit report by going to www.annualcreditreport.com. For ease of the presentation, the presenters would prefer that you select Experian as your choice of credit reports. It is important to bring your Experian credit report with you to the workshop. Allow three weeks to receive your credit report from Experian.

Presenters: Joe Varrasso and Kathleen Crowley from Nellie Mae, a leading national provider of higher education loans for students, will present a Credit Workshop for any student, staff and faculty who wish to participate.

The Agenda includes:
- What is credit analysis and what is involved in analyzing an application?
- What is a credit report and who are the major reporting agencies?
- What is credit scoring and how does this affect loan decisions (approval versus denial)?
- What is a debt-to-income ratio?
- What can you do to "fix" your credit?
- What is the average credit card debt and student loan debt of students?

Don’t miss this opportunity to find the answers to the credit questions that you are asking. Please be sure to pull your Experian credit report and bring the report with you to the workshop.
