Gibson wins Final Four Competition
March 23, 2006Rebekah Gibson was named the Top Oral Advocate at the Appellate Advocacy program’s Final Four competition on March 23. Gibson shared the Diana P. Scott Prize for outstanding work in the program with Amanda Alley, John Klotsche and Nate Smith. Another foursome that included Kerry Stadjuhar, Zeb Young, Daniel Croxall and Klotsche was honored for best written briefs. A distinguished panel of jurists presided over the competition. It featured Judge Marsha Berzon of the U.S. Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, Judge Lawrence Karlton of the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of California, and Justice Vance Raye of the California Court of Appeal, Third Appellate District. Professors George Harris and Mary Beth Moylan are the director and assistant director, respectively, for the Appellate Advocacy program.
