Appellate Advocacy Final Four
March 23, 2006A distinguished panel of veteran jurists will be on the bench for the Appellate Advocacy program’s Final Four competition at 6 p.m., Thursday, March 23 in the courtroom. Judge Marsha Berzon of the U.S. Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit will preside. Judge Lawrence Karlton of the United States District Court, Eastern District of California, and Justice Vance Raye of the California Court of Appeal, Third Appellate District will sit on the panel. Amanda Alley 2E and Rebekah Gibson 2D will argue for the appellants while John Klotsche 2E and Nate Smith 2D will argue for the appellee. In addition to the final-round competition, awards will be presented to oral finalists and for outstanding briefs. Location: courtroom Date: Thursday, March 23 Time: 6 p.m.
