By creating this scholarship, named for Professor Levine's deceased partner, McGeorge becomes one of only a handful of law schools that provide a scholarship earmarked for those planning to use their legal degree to further the legal rights of the gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender community. The reception will also serve as the official kick off of the McGeorge GLBT Alumni Association. The celebratory reception, co-sponsored with SacLEGAL, will be held on Thursday, March 2, from 6 - 7:30 pm, in the Student Center on the McGeorge campus. There is no charge for this event, which will include comments from both Kate Kendell and Mark Leno, but RSVPs are requested.
