Globalizing the Curriculum Initiative
The Pacific McGeorge initiative to globalize the curriculum took major steps forward this summer with the publication of more books in the Global Issues series by Thomson-West. The law school is at the forefront of a movement to prepare 21st Century students to practice in a legal world that has become increasingly global.
The philosophy behind this initiative may be best summarized by Justice Stephen G. Breyer’s statement that “This world we live in is a world where it is out of date to teach foreign law in a course called Foreign Law.”
