On The Road Again

December 13, 2006

More than 60 volunteer students, faculty and local attorneys are in New Orleans helping that city’s beleaguered Public Defender’s office deal with a massive backlog of cases from Hurricane Katrina. You can get a first-hand report from two of the participating students by clicking here. Professors Brian Landsberg and George Harris, along with International Programs coordinator Clemence George, just returned from a trip to China where they began work on our USAID-funded project that involves advocacy practical-skills training at Chinese law schools. And Professor Michael Malloy recently completed a teaching assignment in our collaborative LL.M. in Transnational Business Practice program at the University of Salzburg and a business trip to London, where he is setting up a new summer abroad program for American law students. A prolific scholar, his timely report on the frequency, effectiveness and impact of U.S. unilateral economic sanctions is available by clicking here.
