Summary Bio

Tom Welsh, '89, is a committed member of the McGeorge alumni community, serving on many and varied boards and committees for the law school and the University. Welsh is also a leading supporter at the law school, attending most student and alumni activities and events, hosting event sat his offices in Sacramento and San Francisco, and always participating as a ready advisor to students seeking careers in private law firms. 

Welsh is an insurance and litigation partner at Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe, LLP, and the managing partner in charge of the firm's Sacramento office. Welsh has broad-ranging and widely recognized expertise in the areas of insurance regulation, insurance insolvency and insurance-related litigation. His practice includes the continuous representation of the California Insurance Commissioner and the Commissioner's Conservation & Liquidation Office for more than 22 years.
