Pathways to the Legal Profession
Pacific McGeorge students rank among the best prepared and most "practice-ready" of any U.S. law school — and for good reason. The winning combination of rigorous intellectual preparation enhanced by high-quality experiential training produces graduates who excel in both traditional and alternative legal careers.
Whether you arrive at Pacific McGeorge with a clear idea of the kind of lawyer you want to be, or plan to explore a variety of opportunities during your legal studies, helping you to successfully reach your goals is our priority. To make the most of your education, we offer the new Pathways to the Legal Profession program, which conveniently identifies paths of legal study and groups all related coursework under the following areas of interest to ensure that you plan for the core classes, externships and electives needed to reach your academic and future career goals.
Pathways to the Legal Profession does not list LL.M.-only courses, M.S.L.-only courses, provisionally approved courses, one-unit courses, or, with the exception of the Bar Preparation pathway, required courses.
The Pathways program also serves as a useful tool as you and your academic counselor work to develop a comprehensive plan of study. Select an area of concentration from the following:
