Exams & Assessments

Most courses have a comprehensive written examination at the end of each semester. Professors may also have one or more exams, assessments, quizzes, or written assignments during a semester. Some electives have projects or papers in lieu of examinations. Some courses, such as clinical courses, Trial Advocacy, or competition teams may not have examinations, but have grades based on evaluation of written assignments and performance standards.

Exams and assessments help us measure growth and evaluate progress. Exams and assessments are integral to student learning in the sense that they provide focus to the study of law and serve to foster active teaching and learning.
