Principles of Legal Analysis II Course

Second-year students who qualify for the Directed Study Program will be enrolled in Principles of Legal Analysis II (PoLA II) in the fall semester. PoLA II is a graded, one-unit course that focuses on honing the skills required for effective legal analysis and exam writing. Students will review skills learned in the first year and will be introduced to core analytical skills necessary for success in upper-division subjects. They will complete several written exercises and receive extensive feedback designed to help them successfully write law school exams and ultimately pass the bar exam. The course is taught in small sections to allow for significant individual attention.
