Summary Bio

After graduating from Pacific McGeorge, Shanti Halter worked for Herum Crabtree in Stockton, California. Shortly thereafter, she moved to Washington, DC, where she was an advocate for the National Council of State Housing Agencies. Mrs. Halter finished her time in DC as an associate with Marzulla & Marzulla, focusing on property, environmental, and California water law issues. In 2005, Shanti moved to Arkansas where she had the privilege of being the Second Lady of Arkansas due to her marriage to the Lieutenant Governor, Bill Halter.

Shanti currently practices law by telecommuting for a California-based law firm. She is also on the Board of Trustees of Home Instruction for Parents of Preschool Youngsters (HIPPY) USA which is a parent involvement, school readiness program that helps parents prepare their three, four, and five year old children for success in school and beyond.

Lastly, Shanti is a sustainer-member of the Junior League and alumna of the Delta Gamma sorority. Mrs. Halter earned her B.A. degree from the California State University at Sacramento.
