Summary
Professor Ruth Jones served as an assistant district attorney for New York County for five years. Thereafter, she joined the NOW Legal Defense and Education Fund as a staff attorney, litigating civil rights issues including Title IX and sexual harassment complaints. Since joining the law school faculty, her scholarship has included articles concerning criminal law and gender and the law. She lectures widely on these topics, and has appeared as a legal commentator in a variety of major daily newspapers as well as on CBS News, Court TV, and other television stations.
