Governance Web Journal for Law and Government
Mission Statement
Welcome to the Governance Web Journal for Law and Government! Governance is a product of the joint sustained efforts of the Pacific McGeorge Capital Center for Government Law and Policy and the Governmental Affairs Student Association. Long the leading nongovernmental source for balanced legal analysis in California, the Capital Center dedicates this new Web Journal to achieving a pair of goals. One is to provide an authoritative resource for legal and political professionals on the substantive legal issues and policy trends affecting government at all levels. The other is to apprise the greater Pacific McGeorge community of events and ongoing activities.
Written and edited by Pacific McGeorge faculty, alumni, law students, and legal professionals from diverse fields, our mission is to offer a unique advocate's perspective on the reigning public policy issues affecting us as citizens and practitioners. The scope of Governance encompasses divergent, competing political and policy philosophies and is dedicated to encouraging cogent, stimulating, and purposeful debate on the issues of concern. We welcome your visit and readership as a first step, and we encourage you to participate more materially by comments and article submissions to:
