Mediator and Meeting-Facilitator Services
"Resolve the dispute - Redirect your resources"
WHAT IS MEDIATION?
Mediation is a voluntary and confidential meeting involving a neutral person (the mediator) and the parties to a dispute, conducted for the purpose of helping the parties reach a mutually agreeable solution to the conflict.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF MEDIATION?
▪ Cost savings. Mediation is frequently less costly to the parties than litigation and/or adjudication.
▪ Relationships. Mediation helps restore relationships that are often damaged by frequent or prolonged conflict.
▪ Control. In contrast to traditional court-based procedures, control of the mediation process rests with the parties.
▪ Quality. Mediation often produces wiser, more equitable, and more stable results than adjudication.
WHAT IS MEETING FACILITATION?
Meeting facilitation occurs when a neutral person (the meeting facilitator) assists an organization in conducting productive and efficient meetings involving multiple parties, participants, and/or complex issues.
WHAT DOES A MEETING FACILITATOR DO?
In addition to leading a meeting, a meeting facilitator may also:
▪ Organize an inclusive and effective meeting agenda.
▪ Guide the meeting process so that each participant’s comments and viewpoints are heard and understood by other participants.
▪ Help the meeting participants achieve consensus and closure.
