Historically, McGeorge featured a main law review, the McGeorge Law Review, and two specialty journals, the Global Business and Development Journal and the National Security Journal. In 2015, the law journals merged to form a single flagship journal, the University of the Pacific Law Review UPLR. Issues of the UPLR are devoted to domestic and international law symposiums, and one issue each year is reserved for a review of California legislation, referred to as Greensheets.

In addition to UPLR, students at McGeorge have an opportunity to write about California ballot measures by participating in the California Initiative Review. Faculty scholarship is a significant part of the published works of the community and faculty write across a broad range of topics and practice areas.
