Poile Scholarship Reception Also Honoring Professor Levine’s 25 Years
February 25, 2011
On February 25, 2011, Pacific McGeorge will host the annual Jeffrey K. Poile LGBT Civil Rights Memorial Scholarship Reception honoring this year's scholarship recipients, as well as friends and alumni who support the scholarship. The evening will also honor Professor Larry Levine's 25 years of teaching at Pacific McGeorge.
Established in 2002 by Professor Levine to honor his life partner, the Poile Scholarship has helped 36 extraordinary students use their legal education to further the civil rights of the LGBT community. Thanks to generous donors, the scholarship fund has raised almost $260,000, and Pacific McGeorge is proud to be one of a handful of law schools with a scholarship earmarked for the betterment of the LGBT community.
