Voters Invited To Initiative Review

October 27, 2010

Should marijuana be legal? Should the state be able to pass a budget with a simple majority vote? Should California change its law on greenhouse gas emissions? These are some of the issues facing California voters on the November 2 ballot. Pacific McGeorge students will present another edition of the California Initiative Review at 12 noon, Wednesday, October 27, 2010, in the law school lecture hall. The event features detailed, nonpartisan analyses of each proposition and seeks to inform, not overly influence, the individual voter. Professor Mary-Beth Moylan, who teaches the California Initiative Seminar at Pacific McGeorge, and individual student research authors will be available for questions. The event is free and open to the public. Refreshments and a light lunch will be served. For more information, go to http://go.mcgeorge.edu/initiatives or e-mail.
