A Full Schedule For Orientation Week

Pacific McGeorge welcomes an incoming class of nearly 300 Day Division students and 50 Evening Division students the week of August 9, 2010, with a full slate of Orientation activities to expose the newcomers to the law school campus and Sacramento.

Forty new students joined several faculty members on the annual Beyond McGeorge Raft Trip on Monday down the Middle Fork of the American River. First-year registration begins on Tuesday with a "Sacramento Live!" tour and a visit to the State Capitol and the federal courthouse on tap.
Wednesday's highlight event will be the "Dean's Welcome" and the oath of professionalism ceremony that evening.
Professors Hether Macfarlane and Stephanie Thompson will speak on "How top Read and Study Cases in Law School," Professor Thom Main will provide tips on succeeding in the classroom, and Professors Larry Levine and Courtney Lee will discuss "The Law School Experience" on Thursday.
Mock classes involving case analysis and case synthesis are among the many events scheduled for Friday. Regular classes commence on Monday, August 16.
