Dissertation Defense A Pacific McGeorge First

Pacific McGeorge will present its first-ever doctoral dissertation defense at 2 p.m., Wednesday, December 16, 2009. Margaret Vick, '83, will face a panel of distinguished legal experts in Classroom E as she completes her work for a J.S.D. in International Water Resources Law. A J.S.D, or Doctor of Juridical Science, is legal education's equivalent to the Ph.D. Professor Dan Tarlock of Chicago-Kent College of Law will join Pacific McGeorge professors Kojo Yelpaala and Gregory Weber in an examination of the candidate. Upon successful completion of her defense, Vick will become the first person to receive the Pacific McGeorge J.S.D. in International Water Resources Law degree. A reception will follow at the McGeorge House at 4 p.m.
